    Comparison of the social status of men and women after coronary artery bypass graft surgery

    زمینه و هدف: با ارزیابی وضعیت اجتماعی و شناسایی تفاوت های مردان و زنان پس از جراحی می توان دوران بهبودی پس از عمل را تسریع نمود؛ لذا این مطالعه با هدف ارزیابی وضعیت اجتماعی بیماران زن و مرد پس از ترخیص از بیمارستان بعد از بای پاس عروق کرونر انجام شد. روش بررسی: در این مطالعه توصیفی مقایسه ای که از نوع طولی و آینده نگر بود تعداد 125 نفر شامل 94 مرد و 31 زن به روش نمونه گیری غیر احتمالی آسان و تداومی از لیست بیمارانی که در مرکز شهید چمران اصفهان تحت عمل جراحی عروق کرونر قرار گرفته و دارای پرونده بهداشتی بودند و 12 هفته پس از ترخیص یعنی فاز زودرس بهبودی خود را در منزل می گذراندند انتخاب شدند. روش گردآوری داده ها، بررسی پرونده پزشکی و مصاحبه حضوری بیماران و ابزار جمع آوری اطلاعات پرسشنامه حاوی مشخصات فردی، سوابق بیماری وضعیت اجتماعی بود. یافته ها: میانگین سنی بیماران در دو جنس اختلاف معنی داری نشان نداد (05/

    Deactivation of tannins in raisin stalk by polyethylene glycol-600: Effect on degradation and gas production in vitro

    An experiment was conducted to assess the effects of polyethylene glycol (PEG-6000) and urea on dry and organic matter digestibility (IVDMD and IVOMD, respectively) and gas production in vitro. Raisin stalk contained 8.6% crude protein, 85% dry matter, 7% ash, 13.95% total extractable phenol (TEPH) and 2.13% total extractable tannin (TET). The experimental treatments were: raisin with no supplementation as control (C); supplemented with 3% urea (U 3%), 5% urea (U 5%) or 3% urea plus 5% PEG (U-PEG) per DM. The rumen liquor fluid was obtained from two ruminal-cannulated fat-tailed sheep. TEPH and TET were determined and in vitro incubation was also conducted. The results indicated that the PEG increased IVOMD and IVDMD. The gas produced from time 0 to 3 and 3 to 6 h of incubation were significantly higher in PEG treatment than that of other groups (P < 0.05). The U-PEG treatment increased the total gas production in 96 h, but it was not statistically significant (P = 0.06) Gas production in 96 h incubation using 300 mg fresh sample was significantly higher than 200 mg sample (P < 0.05). It is concluded that the negative effect of tannin on DM and OM digestibility and also gas production of raisin stalk in vitro could be alleviated by PEG treatment.Key words: Raisin stalk, tannin, polyethylene glycol (PEG), urea, gas production, digestibility, in vitro

    High Performance Control of Grid Connected Cascaded H-Bridge Active Rectifier Based on Type II-Fuzzy Logic Controller with Low Frequency Modulation Technique

    This paper tries to employ a fuzzy logic (FL) controller type II to control the Cascaded H-Bridge (CHB) active rectifier. This controller has strong performance, specially, when a low switching frequency Selective Harmonic Elimination (SHE) method is used. In order to regulate all of the DC link voltages, the optimum voltage balancing strategy in the low frequency modulation technique is used in the proposed method. Finally, the performance and effectiveness of the proposed method is validated in MATLAB environment.   All the simulation and result has been simulated by MATLAB software

    Trunk Kinematics Using Musculoskeletal Modeling During Range of Motion Tasks

    A spine model can be used to predict post-spinal fusion motion needed to perform physical activities in individuals with scoliosis. Full body lumbar spine (FBLS) model (Raabi et al., 2016) allows for modeling lumbar spine and pelvis movement and was validated for jogging. However, like other existing adult spine models, FBLS model does not allow for a motion providing thoracic and spine. Purpose: To adapt the FBLS model for simulating thoracic, lumbar and pelvis motion during trunk rotation in all 3 planes of motion. Methods: Since T12-L1 in FBLS model is designed as a dependent joint (axial rotation analogous to L5-S1), the constraints between torso and lumbar spine were removed and modified to allow three-dimensional motion for T12-L1. Inverse kinematics (IK) were calculated for the adjusted model. Range of motion (ROM; max-min) at T12-L1 and L5-S1 joints were compared to the experimental data of 3 healthy adults during maximal flexion-extension, lateral bending, and axial rotation. Results: Experimental data showed 64.4±3.8° and 30.0±7.2° of flexion-extension, 40.8°±4° and 10.9°±4.7° of lateral bending, and 29.7°±3.6° and 13.9°±1.1° of axial rotation for T12-L1 and L5-S1, respectively. While IK result revealed 2.4°±0.1 and 16.3°±2.0 of flexion-extension, 7.9°±0.7 and 1.5°±0.4° of lateral bending, and 32.7°±0.6° and 12.9°±4° of axial rotation for T12-L1 and L5-S1, respectively. T12-L1 joint motion did not corroborate in sagittal and frontal planes where a disconnection between thoracic and lumbar segments was noted. Subsequently, experimental data was significantly greater than IK for sagittal and frontal planes from FBLS and matched best for transverse plane for both joints. Conclusion: The existing FBLS model shows reasonable promise to be adapted for different ROM tasks in transverse plane motion to accurately model trunk motions greater than those expected in jogging.https://digitalcommons.odu.edu/gradposters2021_healthsciences/1010/thumbnail.jp

    The Way Digitalization is Impacting International Financial Markets: Stock Price Synchronicity

    This paper investigates whether and how the development level of a country\u27s digital economy affects stock price synchronicity. The results indicate that countries with high levels of digital economy development exhibit low stock price synchronicity. Additionally, by decomposing stock price synchronicity into systematic and firm‐specific stock return variations, we find that systematic (firm‐specific) variations of stock returns decrease (increase) with the level of a country\u27s digitalization. These findings shed light on the future trend of stock price synchronicity in financial markets around the world and support the information‐based interpretation of stock price synchronicity
